Members of the County ACC/ADC Beaver section were out today at the Heart of England Conference Centre on a very cold and wintry day to consolidate the planning for the Beaver County Activity day on June 17th. A site visit was held to get the contingency plan into being for the safe arrival and exit of our Beaver Scouts on what will be a fabulous day full of fun and activities, not to mention making new Scouting friends from around the County!!!!! However!!!!! WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We need people to help with the delivery of the day, so whether you're a dad, mum, uncle or grandparent, we have a job for you to do!!!!!! Please ask your child's section leader to put you in touch with me so that we can make sure that our young people get the very best experience possible from this brilliant day.
Well what an achievement from our youngest Scouts, and a fabulous start to Nuneaton Districts Youth Shaped month!!!!!! It all started out as part of their team work badge and as part of You Shape week. Coton beavers had a log chew and decided that they would raise money for "old people" aka Dementia U.K. by selling their old toys and books and cakes. They organised their own collecting donations, designed the posters and invited their friends and family as well as manning the sale itself. And they raised the grand total of £227.18!! Well done Coton Beaver Scouts!!!!!

Wonderful turnout from Nuneaton District Scout Groups for today's Remembrance Parade!!! Lovely to see so many there to show our respect for all those who have, or do fight to keep us safe. Well done to all the Beaver Scouts who despite their cold feet and aching legs stood so quietly throughout the service. And brilliant to be applauded by the crowds as we marched past them on the way back!!!! Very proud indeed to be a Scout today!!!!!
A different way with poppies tonight whilst enjoying the activities with 1st Nuneaton, not to mention practicing marching for Remembrance Day Parade. Same sentiments from our youngest members of Scouting, but made in a completely different way. Our leaders certainly do put a lot of thought into how our programmes are shaped and presented. Well done Anya and her team!!! See you all on Parade on Sunday!!!
Very traditional evenings activities tonight with 1st Bedworth Beavers as they prepare for Remembrance Day Parade this coming Sunday. We made a wreath from poppies they'd coloured, which will be laid at the Parade on Sunday. Lovely evening and well done to BSL Dan and all the team!!!
Beaver Scouts, new friends, campfire songs, hot chocolate, biscuits and wood smoke!!!! Great fun was had by all at the Nuneaton District Beaver Scouts Campfire. Thankyou to all at 1st Nuneaton for organising a lovely evening!!!!!
Another visit last week, this time to Friday Colony at 11th Nuneaton, where the Beavers were getting creative and doing some very impressive street art. Loads of fun and wonderfully imaginative pictures were created, followed by pasta pictures to take home!!! Well done to everyone!!!
On Saturday October 8th Beaver Scouts from around the County joined together at Castle 6th Form College in Kenilworth to participate in the Wally Williams Challenge. A team of 15 Beaver Scouts from various groups in Nuneaton District took part, and completed various Challenges including Train like an Astronaut, Paper tower building, Archery, Orienteering, Kim's Game, Badge Identification and Bridge building. In order to be in line with a Scouting national initiative, they held throughout the day a Youth Forum, giving each of the young people taking part in the day the chance to have their say and help to shape Warwickshire Beaver Scouts future. And to top the day, Nuneaton team came 2nd overall, so well done everyone, and thankyou for representing us!!!! Warwickshire Beavers are indeed Youth Shaped!!!!
Lovely time tonight at Nuneaton North Beavers enjoying activities with a " working together " theme. We made lolly stick catapults, worked together to tie shoe laces, and then the best bit of the night, we unwrapped, cut up and ate Mars bars and apples!!!!! Great to see our youngsters working together and having loads of fun too!!! Well done everyone!!!!!
